Jessica is a student at the University of California studying Business Administration and Statistics. She is caught between a constant admiration and aversion for statistics, the admiration coming from the lucid, powerful beauty of the subject, and the aversion stemming from memories of long nights at the library spent drawing up the most creatively incorrect solutions.
She intends to pursue a career in predictive statistical modeling, applied in the financial sectors of ethical organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring all things artistic. In particular, she enjoys jazz and has performed George Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess” on the violin.
